Seckinger teacher bio

Meet Mrs. Seckinger

I’m extremely excited to be teaching 4th grade at Cunningham Creek. I have spent the last five years at Wards Creek under the amazing leadership of Mrs. Jarrell. I was an ESE paraprofessional for two years and a 2nd grade teacher for the last three years. I graduated from the University of North Florida with an English degree in 2009. I went on to work in property management sales for three years before beginning my career in education. I spent the following three years completing all of the requirements for a permanent teaching certificate. I am passionate about teaching the “whole child”. I believe that we need to make sure that we are meeting the academic and social-emotional needs of our students. In my class we learn to celebrate our differences, explore a variety of learning strategies, and get moving as much as possible.
I am married and we a five year old daughter. My husband is a corporal for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and my daughter will be attending Kindergarten at CCE. We recently added a Great Dane puppy to our family. His name is Bruce Wayne and he makes life very interesting. We enjoy taking road trips and spending time with our friends and family. I look forward to learning and growing with your family this school year!
