{"id":826,"date":"2025-11-17T15:56:57","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T15:56:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www-ccs.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/nest\/?page_id=826"},"modified":"2026-03-31T17:45:32","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T17:45:32","slug":"3s-class-2026-27-enrollment","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www-ccs.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/nest\/3s-class-2026-27-enrollment\/","title":{"rendered":"3&#8217;s (Peeps) Class 2026-27 Enrollment &amp; Waitlist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>***Updated Availability March 31, 2025***<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>To be placed on the 2026-27 waitlist, please email Rebecca Thompson, Director, at rebecca.thompson@stjohns.k12.fl.us.\u00a0 Please provide your name, child&#8217;s name and date of birth, hours preference and a phone number.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 16px\">Enrollment Application Timeline (subject to change without notice)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>January 2026 &#8211; Current and former Little Cardinals Nest families<\/li>\n<li>February 2026 &#8211; St. Johns County School District Employees (contacted in order of waitlist)<\/li>\n<li>March 2026 &#8211; New Community Families (contacted in order of waitlist)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hours Offered <\/strong><strong>&#8211; All spots are Monday through Friday (limited spots for all times)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>***FULL***<\/strong>School Hours (SJCSD Employees Only):\u00a0 8:00-3:30 &#8211; drop off no earlier than 7:50am<\/li>\n<li><strong>***FULL***<\/strong>School Hours (Community): 8:25-2:45 (students must be picked up by 3:00; Peeps class does NOT have early release on Wednesdays due to nap)<\/li>\n<li><strong>***FULL***Full Day:\u00a0 7:00-5:30<\/strong> &#8211; your child must be picked up by 5:30 &#8211; late pickup will incur a fee; repeated late pickups will result in dismissal from the program<\/li>\n<li>For 2026-27, there will be a cutoff time for dropping off your student.\u00a0 3&#8217;s class students must be dropped off by 9:30am or will be marked absent (unless you inform the teacher in advance that your child has an appointment and bring a doctor&#8217;s note) \u2013 The gate locks at 9:30am and 3&#8217;s circle time starts at 9:00am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3&#8217;s Class Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>For all new families, at least one parent and the child must attend a tour in order to receive an enrollment application &#8211; families will be contacted in order of the waitlist<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Children must be fully toilet-trained by the first day of school (August 10, 2026).\u00a0 \u00a0A pull-up with velcro sides at <em>nap only<\/em> is permitted.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Parents and all persons entering the classroom must agree to a background check by completing the form at https:\/\/www.stjohns.k12.fl.us\/volunteer\/<\/li>\n<li>If your child is 3 years old and has identified needs, please contact the Cunningham Creek Elementary Registrar, Lisa J. Wilson, for more information about the ESE pre-k program.\u00a0 You can reach Ms. Wilson at lisa.j.wilson@stjohns.k12.fl.us or 904-547-7866<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3&#8217;s Class Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ratio<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0 The 3&#8217;s class has up to 15 students and 2 teachers.\u00a0 There is only one 3&#8217;s class.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Curriculum<\/strong> &#8211; We are play-based but have a structured schedule.\u00a0 Learning themes change weekly and focus on early literacy.\u00a0 Children participate in science experiments, music and movement, art, fine motor and gross motor activities.\u00a0 Children experience special events throughout the year such as class parties, the CCE Character Parade (October), Thanksgiving Feast, Holiday Performance (December), Egg Hunt\/Spring Party, End-of-Year Performance (May) and more!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Schedule<\/strong> &#8211; We follow the St. Johns County School District schedule and are closed for all school breaks.\u00a0 Please see the 2026-27 Master Calendar and 3&#8217;s Daily Schedule web pages.\u00a0 At 3:30pm, full day 3&#8217;s students combine with the full day VPK students (in the VPK room) for free choice play, games, art and playground time<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zoning<\/strong> &#8211; You do NOT need to be zoned for Cunningham Creek Elementary to attend Little Cardinals Nest<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transportation<\/strong> &#8211; We do NOT provide transportation or drop-off\/pickup car lines.\u00a0 You must park and walk your child in (sign-in) and sign-out your child.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tuition<\/strong> &#8211; Tuition will be discussed during your tour and listed in the enrollment application packet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>***Updated Availability March 31, 2025*** To be placed on the 2026-27 waitlist, please email Rebecca Thompson, Director, at rebecca.thompson@stjohns.k12.fl.us.\u00a0 Please provide your name, child&#8217;s name and date of birth, hours preference and a phone number.
